image Larry Satchell I must tell you that I have honestly enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in the sport of drag racing for all of my life. You see....... my father took me to the opening of St.Thomas Dragway in 1962, and that was all it took to get me hooked. From a bracket racer in the late 70's and early 80's, and winning a track championship, to my announcing career that has spanned some 30 plus years, to the opportunity to be involved in the management of two of Ontario's finest drag racing facilities........I feel I have pretty well "learned" this sport from all angles. Not only have I learned about the sport of drag racing, but I've also learned about the people involved in drag racing. What a great big enthusiastic family racers are! I have seen some great friendships begin, and endure during the past 35 years. And that is what I want to expand upon as part of my journalistic duties at "Canadian Drag Racer Magazine". I want to tell the stories about the lives of the racers, crew members, and families involved in our favourite sport. Contact us at the Magazine to share your story with us, and the rest of our drag racing family.
