Canadian Drag Racer Magazine appoints Dale Hickey as new Editor and welcomes Photojournalist Rob Potter to the team!

Kitchener, Ontario (Feb 20 2012) With the 2012 drag racing season ready to embark on us here in Canada, (already underway south of our border) I thought I would bring our readers up to date on the on-goings around here at Canadian Drag Racer Magazine (CDRM).

Firstly, I like thank all of our readers from 23 countries on six continents for your loyalty for visiting us online time and time again and supporting the magazine with your kind comments from your emails we receive!

As we are always striving to improve our content in the magazine for our readers, we have recently added a new column to the CDRM line-up called “YESTERYEAR”.

Rob Potter, who I have known for many years will be part of our team here at Canadian Drag Racer Magazine and will head up the “YESTERYEAR” column. Rob will give us a look back in time with some interesting insights into the early days of drag racing as it was here in Southern Ontario. For those of you who don’t know Rob, he is our resident drag racing historian for these parts of Canada and has also been behind the camera for some forty plus years! Needless to say, you will see some pretty cool photos in his articles as we move forward. Keep checking back, as I’m sure you will enjoy Rob’s tales from the past!

As some of you might have already read here, I have started another company called FAST Entertainment Inc. FAST is a provider of motorsports entertainment throughout North America.  With these duties (and another project that I have been working on, that will be announced soon) I have had my plate extremely full. With that said, in keeping with the magazine moving smoothly along, I have appointed Dale Hickey as the new Editor of Canadian Drag Racer Magazine. Dale’s, and all of our journalist’s dedication to this magazine and passion for the sport of drag racing has been paramount to where we stand today, in the forefront of the drag racing media market. I am pleased that Dale has accepted his new position and that he will continue to carry on the tradition and goals we have set forth for this magazine, well into the future.

Again, many thanks to our readers! Please keep coming back to get your fill of Canadian drag racing stories, from the Jr Dragsters to the Pro’s and the people behind the scenes of this great sport here at Canadian Drag Racer Magazine “Dedicated to Canadian Drag Racing” !
